To my students and parents,
To say that our times now are unusual is an understatement. Like you there are more questions that are unanswered than questions we can answer. Day by day we will walk through this together. We were going to begin our study of the 20th century. It is information rich with events and times that impact us today. Here are a few websites that will give you some information about this time.

I flip my classroom!
What is a flipped classroom? The content is presented in a video form and uploaded to http://Edpuzzle.com. The student watches the video at home and answers the questions that are embedded in the video.

What is a flipped classroom? The content is presented in a video form and uploaded to http://Edpuzzle.com. The student watches the video at home and answers the questions that are embedded in the video.
Here are some of the benefits:
- The student answers questions immediately as the watch the video.
- Allows for more opportunity for each student to individually and immediately apply the material.
- After watching a portion of the video, if the student is not able to answer the question they can press re-watch as many times as needed to master the content.
- If a student has questions they have multiple days to watch and complete the assignment and ask me to clarify the content.
- The student can set their own pace for reviewing and understanding the content.
- It is flexible, so that a student can watch the video at a time and place that fits into their schedule.
- If a student is absent, they will never miss content presented, it is always accessible.
- Parents and guardians will always have access to what their student is studying which makes support at home much easier.
- A flipped classroom allows me to develop classroom activities based on the content that develop higher thinking skills which are the skills needed for the 21st Century job market.
- So, if this is new to you it is a great adventure in your learning to manage your own learning.
